Text message reminder

This was one of my first projects completed during my first year at Fontys University. The goal of this project was to remind people when they have to do their peridic technical inspection and the mandatory insurance for their cars. An application would be ran by an employee of a car service from where the data needed is retrieved. The application is sending text messages to the owners of the cars a week before the due date. To send text messges I made use of an USB modem connected it with a SIM card which was abel to send a message every 5 seconds. This method was used at that time because there weren't many online APIs that had the ability to send text messages.
